TWIN CAIRNS 2.0: SOFTWARE UPDATE

On April 24, Twin Cairns updated its site software and data collection system. Twin Cairns 2.0 makes job search easier, allows better presentation of jobs and collect & display wage and benefits data in a more transparent way.

As a result of this major update, indexing of the Twin Cairns site across the web started afresh. It took a few days for the major browsers (Google, Safari, Edge and Firefox) to re-index the site for users.  As evident in Charts 1 & 2, the recovery took a few days.

During the same time, Google upgraded its Analytics Unit to a new system (Google Analytics 4) with major changes in tracking, analyzing and reporting data. Twin Cairns analytics data collected prior to the Google upgrade did not transfer well to the new system so Twin Cairns tracking by external systems was reset to start again on May 1. For those interested, the new data is available and tabulated on third party web analytics sites such as SimilarWeb and Moz.
