Your Opportunity
The Staff Archaeologist role will include cultural resources fieldwork including coordinating and leading crews, background reviews, and report preparation for various clients such as ODOT, USACE, BIA, BLM, USDA, large utility clients, oil and gas, etc. Archaeology work could include the following: archaeological survey, testing, evaluation, construction monitoring, report and section writing, site record forms, as well as other tasks as assigned. Must demonstrate awareness of workplace safety and be willing to work independently when conditions are appropriate or with limited supervision. You will work closely with Stantec’s project managers, senior archaeologists, and environmental staff. We have positions based in our Norman, OK and Tulsa, OK offices.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree and minimum 2 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education (e.g., advanced degree) and experience preferred.
This position is a combination of location/regional travel and a desktop position with typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods.
