Immediate Phase III Data Recovery Field Technician Support
Integrated Environmental Solutions, LLC (IES) is simultaneously undertaking two Phase III data recovery projects that need immediate archeological field technician support. The projects are at the Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Site outside Navasota, Texas and for ODOT outside Chickasha, Oklahoma. At the State Historic Site, crews are excavating portions of the historic townsite, which was an early Republic of Texas capital and where the Texas Declaration of Independence was drafted and signed. For ODOT, crews are excavating a monumental Late Prehistoric Plains Village site that is refining the archeological record for the region.
Initial pay will be $19.50 to $22/hr based on experience.
Per diem will be based on GSA rate for project location.
Overtime beyond 40hrs per week is expected and will be paid at time and half
Single occupancy lodging will be provided
Typical Schedule –10 days rotations and standard Monday through Friday schedules will be required.
Maximum 8 to 10hr days anticipated
To apply for this position the applicant must meet the following qualifications:
Hold a bachelor’s degree in anthropology, archeology, or a closely related field
Have a minimum of 12 months field experience
Proven experience excavating controlled 1-m by 1-m excavation units
Proven experience exposing and documenting archeological features in plan and profile
Must be able to mobilize quickly
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Physical requirements for project will included:
Regularly required to use hands, walk, sit, talk, and listen, stand; climb, balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch
The employee must occasionally lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds.
