Archaeological field technicians/Western Archaeological Services Temporary

Looking for a bit of adventure?  Western Archaeological Services is seeking qualified archaeological field technicians for a winter excavation of a stratified, multi-component prehistoric site in northwest Colorado. Minimum requirements include undergraduate course work in archaeology, archaeological fieldwork experience, the ability to perform strenuous physical activity under difficult conditions, and basic writing and mapping skills.

$20.00 – $25.00/hr commensurate with education and experience. Single-occupancy hotel accommodations and per diem will be provided. Excavation will take place in a heated tent(s) and heated trailers will be available on site. Excavation is anticipated to begin November 27th and continue through January.

Salary is commensurate with experience and education.
