Archaeological Monitor/BFSA Environmental Services Full Time

BFSA Environmental Services, A Perennial Company (BFSA) is seeking trained and experienced field staff for construction monitoring as well as data recovery excavations, field surveys, and historic structure assessments in Riverside, San Bernardino, and Los Angeles counties.  These positions are available immediately.  Applicants should possess experience with archaeological test unit excavations, artifact identification, and data collection. Applicants should be physically able to perform fieldwork.  These positions are anticipated to be full-time and should continue well past 2024.  

Qualifications:  

• A Bachelor’s degree in anthropology/history/archaeology or related social science field is a requirement  
• A minimum of six months of applicable experience is preferred.  Experience in California is preferred but not mandatory  
• Valid California driver’s license  
• Reliable transportation 

Responsibilities:

Field archaeologists should be able to conduct standard tasks in a safe and independent manner and be able to follow directions of project supervisors.  Normal workdays are anticipated, but applicants will be expected to be flexible regarding work hours and project needs. 
 

*Please note, we are not offering per diem positions. This is a FULL-TIME position based out of POWAY, CALIFORNIA, although the jobs worked may be in San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Los Angeles counties.
