DUTIES:
The Senior Archaeologist will manage and direct larger and more complex cultural resources projects under the direction of a Principal and will supervise and review the work of junior staff. The Senior Archaeologist is responsible for ensuring the quality of all project work, including technical reporting. Job duties will include management of survey, testing and evaluation, and data recovery in support of CRM regulatory compliance; recruitment and management of regular and project-based staff; analysis of artifacts and preparation of the cultural resource sections of environmental documents; preparation and implementation of research designs and treatment plans; authorship of technical reports; consultation with Native Americans; preparation of proposals; participation in marketing and business development.

An employee in this CA-based position can expect a salary of $76,900-$93,600/year for the Senior Archaeologist position. Actual pay within this range may depend on experience, qualifications, geographic location, client requirements where applicable, and other factors permitted by law.
