Architectural Historian Full Time

ALL PHASES ARCHAEOLOGY is seeking an ARCHITECTURAL HISTORIAN to join our select team of cultural resources management All-Stars! Applicants must hold a master’s degree in Architectural History, Historic Preservation, or a closely related field and have at least one year professional experience in Cultural Resource Management. Applicants should have a firm understanding and knowledge of state and federal environmental regulatory framework, including the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA).

Expected tasks include:

• Viewshed Analysis
• National Register of Historic Places Recommendations and Effect Determinations
• Historic Contexts
• Architectural History Survey and Inventory
• Historic American Engineering Record (HAER) documentation
• Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS) documentation
• Historic American Landscape Survey (HALS) documentation 

The position requires some travel and the ability to conduct fieldwork, including overnight stays. Projects most frequently occur in Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and the Florida panhandle; however, relocation is not required. Organization, leadership, communication, and hard work are key to success in this position. Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience and ability.
