Archaeological Technicians/CHRS Temporary

CHRS, Inc. (Lansdale, PA) is accepting resumes for temporary archaeological field technicians for current and upcoming fieldwork in eastern Pennsylvania and surrounding areas. Overnight travel may be required; per diem and single-occupancy lodging will be provided for all project work requiring overnight stays. There is potential for ongoing employment based on project needs.

Field technicians will assist the Project Lead in the completion of archaeological excavations, mapping, and documentation in both rural and urban settings. Applicants must demonstrate the physical endurance to conduct physically demanding tasks in adverse environmental conditions including, but not limited to: hot and cold weather, precipitation, and remote and rugged locations. The primary responsibility of a field technician is to perform archaeological fieldwork; however, work may extend to the laboratory as needed.

Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in archaeology, anthropology, or closely related field, or one (1) year prior field experience. Completion of accredited field school preferred. Current driver’s license in good standing required. Applicants local to the CHRS office in Lansdale, PA will be given preference. 

Starting hourly wage is $18-20, commensurate with experience.
