SRI was founded in 1983 to provide a vehicle for creative people to do interesting and exciting work on the human condition and our natural world. In meeting the goals of this unique mission, we respond to our nation’s goal of preserving its diverse historical and cultural values by integrating exciting research with compliance work and providing timely and cost-effective services in cultural resource management (CRM) and historic preservation.
SRI is certified as a woman-owned small business (WOSB) by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the nation’s largest third party certifier of the businesses owned and operated by women in the U.S. WBENC Certification meets criteria set by the Small Business Administration (SBA) for qualifying for federal contracts set aside for WOSB. SRI is also certified as a woman-owned business by the Supplier Clearinghouse pursuant to California Public Utilities Commission General Order 156 and by the County of Los Angeles Community Business Enterprise Program.
