Job Description and Duties
ARCHAEOLOGICAL AIDE (SEASONAL)- SANTA CRUZ DISTRICT / MOUNTAIN SECTOR
The reporting location for this position is Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park in Felton, CA. This position will work under the supervision of a Museum Curator 1 and will be led by the Associate State Archaeologist.
This position will perform a variety of duties relating to collections management and the analysis of archaeological materials. This position is responsible for performing varied manual tasks including sorting, cataloguing, data entry into TMS, and preparation of archaeological materials for long term curation. This position may also assist in the coordination and management of volunteers working on sorting of archaeological materials.
This is for (1) seasonal aid position for 120 days.
This Position requires a valid California Class C driver’s license. Please provide proof of eligibility with application.
The incumbent’s work schedule will be from Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Priority consideration will be given to any person receiving State public assistance under the CalWORKS program.
