Duties

Provides technical support to the heritage resources staff.
Assists in performing procedural archeological fieldwork assignments using compass, topographical map, and aerial photographs, and/or GPS unit to conduct archeological surveys and to record site locations.
Assists in recording information on archeological site survey forms and prepares simple reports and field notes.

Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.

Qualifications
You must meet the ANILCA eligibility requirements to be referred for this position.
Eligibility Requirements: You must have lived and or worked in or near the geographic boundaries of the Glacier Ranger District and have special knowledge or expertise concerning the natural and cultural resources in the Girdwood, Hope or Whittier area to participate in archeological technician activities.
