McCormick Taylor, Inc.’s (MT) Cultural Resources Group (based out of Harrisburg, PA) is seeking to hire Archeologist I, Field Technician level positions on a temporary, full-time basis to supplement the group’s work of archaeological field investigations and lab activities in Maryland and Pennsylvania. Projects include Phase I Archaeological Surveys, Phase II Archaeological Evaluations, and Phase III Data Recovery.
Hourly rates start at $18.00 per hour and are dependent on experience.
The work schedule consists of five 8-hour days (40 hours per week), Monday through Friday. When project travel is required, per diem ($50 per day), individual hotel room accommodations, and travel mileage are provided. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, be able to drive, and have access to reliable transportation.

Candidates should be able to perform all potential field-related activities including strenuous fieldwork in varied weather conditions, hiking, and carrying gear. The ability to travel to conduct fieldwork is a must. The position requires the ability to process field data in accordance with MT standards. All employees are expected to comply with MT company policies and safety protocols for travel and fieldwork.
