Archaeological Field Technician, Crew Chief, and Field Director positions open.
NTM Engineering, Inc., is seeking experienced staff to fill several immediate openings for archaeological Field Technician, Crew Chief, and Field Director level positions on projects consisting of several long-term Phase I surveys, Phase II, and Phase III data recovery excavations in eastern and central Pennsylvania.
Job requirements include a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology or Archaeology and demonstrated experience in both historic and prehistoric archaeology. Preference will be given to candidates that demonstrate experience working in the Mid-Atlantic region. Pennsylvania experience is preferred, but not required.
The hourly wage range is $18.00-$25.00 depending on position responsibilities and previous experience. Lodging and meal per diem will be provided during the scheduled work period. The positions have the potential to become full-time with benefits positions based on experience and performance.
Minimum position requirements include –

Successful completion of an archaeological field school and a Bachelor’s degree in anthropology, archaeology or related field.
Physical requirements include the ability to stand or kneel for long periods of time, hiking in rugged terrain, and lifting/carrying up to 40 lbs. without restriction.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, able to conduct all aspects of fieldwork in all weather conditions and be able to work under supervision and as part of a team.
