Hope Archaeology, Inc. (HAI) is looking to hire multiple Seasonal Part-Time/On-Call archaeological field technicians for multiple federal projects in Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming. These projects will likely run from July until at least October. Fieldwork will include hot and cold temperatures and challenging terrain and the ability to hike for sustained periods is essential.
Hope Archaeology places an emphasis on high-quality archaeological standards. These positions require a B.A. or B.S. degree in archaeology, anthropology, or closely related field (or substantial progress towards these degrees). The positions also require an archaeological field school or equivalent experience. Experience in the region is preferred, and regional and local candidates will be prioritized. Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger field crew is important.
If you are interested, please email a current resume to [email protected] or [email protected] with the subject line “Archaeological Field Technician.” All applicants will receive consideration for employment regardless of age, sex, race, creed, color, national origin, ancestry, marital status, or sexual orientation.
The pay structure for field techs will start at $19.00 per hour with a standard federal per diem rate of $59 per day. Lodging is provided and camping is never required (though it is an option if preferred). Thank you and please feel free to contact me with any questions at [email protected] or [email protected] or through our website at www.hopearchaeology.net.
