SEASONAL FULL-TIME ARCHAEOLOGISTS, New England Including Cape Cod and the Islands
 
The Public Archaeology Laboratory (PAL) is a full service New England cultural resource management (CRM) firm. We offer archaeological services primarily in New England and the mid-Atlantic regions. Our clients include governmental agencies, corporations, engineering firms, and private developers from the energy, telecommunications, transportation, and environmental market sectors.
 
Our Opportunities
We need archaeologists with New England field experience for a project on Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts that will run continuously from about May 31 through August 5 (approximately 10 weeks). Lodging on the island will be provided in a vacation house rental (fully furnished, single bedrooms, wifi, etc.) for the duration of the project along with $50 per diem for the work week. The archaeologists will be responsible for shovel-trowel excavations, artifact collection, note-taking, and feature recordation, under the direction of the Principal Investigator and Project Archaeologist.
 
We also have other seasonal full-time work on a variety of mainland projects in all New England states (CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, and VT). PAL’s 2022 field season runs from now through early-mid December. Pay ranges from $18-$21/hour commensurate with New England field experience. We offer single occupancy hotel lodging for non-local projects with $50 per diem.
