Job Summary
Trileaf is currently seeking a full-time, permanent Project Archaeologist to be based out of our corporate headquarters in St. Louis, MO. The successful candidate for this position will meet the SOI’s professional qualification standards for archeology (36 CFR Part 61) and have applied knowledge of Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA). The geographical Area of Responsibility (AOR) for this position will include work primarily in Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana, with occasional projects in eastern Kansas, northern Arkansas, western Kentucky, and the Upper Midwest. Previous Midwestern archaeological experience is required.
Responsibilities and Duties
The job will include, but is not limited to, the completion of SHPO file reviews for above ground and archaeological resources, unsupervised Phase I archaeological surveys, and cultural resource report writing/production.
Qualifications and Skills
To be considered, the resume of the applicant must demonstrate the following qualifications/skills:

Master’s degree or higher in archaeology, anthropology, or closely related field
Meets the SOI’s professional qualification standards for archeology (36 CFR Part 61)
Midwestern archaeological experience/knowledge
Attention to detail
Strong work ethic
Valid Driver License
Capable of fieldwork
Ability and willingness to travel (travel not expected to exceed 2-3 days at a time)
Strong computer skills
Be an independent worker dedicated to excellence
