JOB SUMMARY:
The archaeologist will work as an integral part of Brice’s rapidly growing cultural resources team. Primary responsibilities are archaeological monitoring, survey and site testing, artifact analysis, and assisting report preparation. The position would be primarily field based, with options for laboratory and office work as needed.

Potentially working at contaminated sites.
Standing and stooping for prolonged periods of time, using hands/fingers requiring dexterity with good hand-eye coordination and motion control for handling equipment in the field.
Occasionally: crawling, climbing, reaching overhead, balancing, pushing or pulling, lifting/carrying 10-75 lbs., eye/hand coordination (foot), fine manipulation, discriminating colors, Inside: Hot/heat, cold, Hazards: chemical, sharp objects/tool, heavy machinery, dirty (soil), dry, fumes, gases, odors, dust, grease, oil, mud, moving mechanical parts, noise, wet/slippery floors/surfaces.
Continuously: close vision (clear at 20" or less), color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up & down or to the left & right while eyes are fixed on a given point), depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances & spatial relationships), thinking analytically, using effective verbal communication, making decisions, examining/observing details.
Frequently: sitting, standing, walking, bending over, crouching, kneeling, talking, repetitive use of legs, grasping, lifting 10 lbs. or less, distance vision (clear at 20' or more), ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object in to sharp focus), using effective written communication, handling stress & emotions, concentrating on tasks, discriminating colors, remember details, adjusting to changes, Outside: Hot/cold temperatures, humid, working with others and working alone.
