Kautz Environmental Consultants, Inc., (KEC) of Reno, Nevada, is a small company currently accepting applications for field technicians for upcoming excavation and survey projects. Fieldwork will occur throughout Nevada (including Reno area projects). Transportation is provided from Reno to the project area; meal allowance and lodging will be provided on workdays for non-local projects. Non-local projects are run on 8-on/6-off work schedules. Local projects will generally be scheduled 4-10s. Local projects are not eligible for meal allowance and lodging.
Compensation: The pay is $22-26 an hour, depending on experience. Meal allowance is $59/day. Personal mileage is compensated at the federal rate ($0.625/mile) up to $200 (320 miles) per rotation.
Benefits: Health, dental and vision insurance (75% paid by employer for individual, 50% per additional dependent) is provided for consistent, full time hourly employees (min. 30+ hours per week). PTO accrual at 2.15 hours biweekly. An IRA plan (3% company match) and the profit-sharing program are available after one year of service.
Qualifications: Preferred applicants should have at least one year of field experience in California/Great Basin and an undergraduate degree in Anthropology/Archaeology. However, other applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Physical requirements include the ability to stand, bend, and kneel for long periods of time; lift at least 30 lbs.; and hike 10+ miles per day in rough terrain and weather conditions.
