Who You Are
You are an effective team member experienced in archaeological monitoring, surveys, and documentation of archaeological and/or paleontological resources in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal guidelines and requirements.
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in archaeology/anthropology/paleontology or related field and have a valid driver’s license.
You are familiar with working on active construction sites, completing DPR forms and are knowledgeable of archaeological materials common to the region. Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 1 year of archaeological monitoring experience and demonstrate the ability to perform all aspects of archaeological and/or paleontological monitoring and familiarity working on construction sites, coordinating with construction personnel, and interacting with Native American monitors. Successful candidates will fulfill the following duties:
You have the ability to work in a wide variety of tough field conditions (traveling long distances across various terrains, hot weather, etc.) and are able to work some nights and/or weekends.

ESA is looking for archaeological field technicians to support a long-term (through August 2023 or later) field project west of Phoenix, Arizona. Successful candidates will fulfill the following duties:
ESA has established multiple pay ranges tailored to the economic factors in the geographies in which ESA staff reside. For this position the range is $22.37 – $31.31/hr or $20.13 – $28.18/hr based on our anticipated hiring location as noted in the above job details. Actual compensation is determined by a number of factors including but not limited to an individual’s related experience, education, skills, and the city in which the applicant lives.
