This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Archaeologist for our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania office. Be involved in projects with our Heritage & Cultural Resources Earth & Environment Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. 
Your Impact

Direct field teams on archaeological surveys and excavations.
Comfortable interacting with clients, landowners, contractors, and others.
Skilled in technical report writing.
Versed in heritage and cultural resource state and federal regulations.
Work with cross-functional teams in executing project work.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are
Required Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, historic preservation, or a related field.
1-3 years of relevant experience in the context of Section 106/110 compliance.
1-3 years experience in CRM archaeology, preferrably in the Mid Atlantic.
Understanding of regulatory framework for heritage resource management compliance.
Proven project delivery track record.
Excellent technical writing skills.
Participation on interdisciplinary project teams.
Expertise in the archaeology of the Mid Atlantic Region.
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

Local to Philadelphia and surrounding region is preferred.
Preference will be given to a specialist with clearly defined knowledge, skills and abilities as evidenced through publications/presentations and work experience in the Northeastern United States.
Active participation in professional practice organizations.
