R. Christopher Goodwin & Associates, Inc. has opened a permanent, full-time position for an Assistant Project Manager in our Lawrence, KS office. The successful candidate will have an M.A. in Anthropology/Archaeology, will have completed an accredited archaeological field school, and will have worked in the field of CRM or have served in a similar capacity for two to five years. At least one year of successful supervisory experience is required. Excellent field skills are essential; experience with GPS, and familiarity with both historic and prehistoric archaeological sites and the material culture of the North American Great Plains is strongly preferred. Superior writing and interpersonal skills are essential. Training in or familiarity with NHPA and other cultural resources regulations are desirable. Candidate must be able to travel to project sites to direct and conduct Phase I, Phase II, and Phase III investigations. Residence within commuting distance of the Lawrence office will be necessary for this position.
This is a full time, salaried, professional position with full benefits package (paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave; health, dental, and life insurance; and a 401(K) plan). Starting pay ranges from $21 to $23 per hour depending on experience. Opportunity for advancement to significant management responsibilities is available for the right candidate.
