The successful applicant will work alongside AmaTerra’s staff serving a variety of federal, state, municipal, and private clients. Applicants must have a graduate degree in anthropology, archaeology, or a closely related field and four or more years of professional archaeological experience assisting, leading, and/or managing archaeological surveys, National Register testing and evaluation projects, and data recovery excavations. Supervisory experience managing archeological projects and crews is required.

Job responsibilities will include planning and managing a variety of archaeological projects (including budgets), coordinating and/or leading field crews on various survey, testing and data recovery projects, coordination and oversight of data and laboratory analyses, report writing and editing, coordination and consultation with clients, agency officials and regulators, and working with all staff in AmaTerra Offices.

The estimated annual salary range for this position is between $60,000–70,000 and commensurate with experience.
