Archaeologist – Project Manager
Brockington and Associates is seeking an Archaeologist based in our Atlanta, GA headquarters office for archaeological project work throughout the US.
 
Brockington is a cultural resources management firm with more than 30 years of experience. Since the firm’s inception in 1986, we have completed more than 6,000 projects throughout the U.S. and internationally, including Phase I archaeological surveys, Phase II testing, and Phase III data recovery investigations. Our archaeologists, historians, architectural historians, and interpretative exhibit designers complete all tasks required of public agencies and private clients that manage and protect cultural resources and historic sites.
 
Candidates should hold a minimum of MA/MHP/MS in archaeology, anthropology, historic preservation, history, or related field.
Applicants should have the ability to:

   Conduct fieldwork- including archaeological survey, testing, and data recovery investigations;
   Identify prehistoric and historic artifacts and features in the field;
   Effectively discuss projects with colleagues and clients;
   Prepare basic budgets and proposals; and
   Write professional technical reports and publications.

 
Travel, physical labor, and time spent in outdoor conditions are requirements of this job.
 
You must be able to work as a member of a diverse team, manage projects and people, and complete other delegated project tasks. You should possess strong communication skills, to work professionally with clients and government agencies, and be able to supervise the work of others.
