Crew Leads/CC Environmental On Call Part Time

CC Environmental, based in Norman, Oklahoma, is currently seeking On-Call Archaeology Field Technicians to assist on Oklahoma projects. Experience and Qualifications Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent, and six months relevant experience in recognizing archaeological artifacts
• Ability to travel to fieldwork throughout Oklahoma, sometimes requiring an extended stay in a hotel up to 4 nights in a week
• Ability to hike while carrying equipment weighing up to 30 pounds, sometimes in difficult terrain or weather conditions
• Ability to work independently
• Good verbal communication skills
• A safety-first approach to fieldwork

Experience and Qualifications Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a related field
• An accredited field school
• Experience using GPS units in the field
• Working knowledge of federal and state laws regarding cultural resources
• Experience with shovel testing, excavation, and/or pedestrian survey
• Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, and have access to reliable transportation to hotels (transportation to fieldwork will take place in company vehicles)

Job type: On-call, Part-time. (Potential for qualified internal candidates to transfer to full-time positions and/or technical writing positions can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.) Compensation:

• Crew leads on small projects may earn $27.50-$35.00 per hour
• Actual pay range will depend on experience, education, and qualifications
• Approved employee project expenses are covered by the employer
