Cultural Resources Technicians (Paid Internship, Full-Time, Temporary)
Available locations:
Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JBMDL), New Jersey
Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA), Texas
Joint Base Langley-Eustis (JBLE), Virginia
POSITION SUMMARY:
Three (3) Cultural Resources Technician (Paid Internship, Full-time, 40 hours/week) positions are available with the Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML) at JBMDL, JBSA, and JBLE. These internships are intended to provide the successful applicants with exposure to careers in military lands management and provide hands-on cultural resources work experience. The cultural resources technicians will contribute to cultural resource management efforts at JBMDL, JBSA, or JBLE while also learning about the importance of cultural resources management on Department of Defense lands, and the regulatory framework that is used to guide resource management. Successful applicants will gain entry-level experience in cultural resources evaluation and management under mentorship with cultural resource managers at JBMDL, JBSA, or JBLE.
Military affiliation is not required to apply.
PAY RATE:
One Cultural Resources Technician at JBMDL - $16/hour – up to 100 working days (800-hours)
One Cultural Resources Technician at JBSA - $16/hour – up to 140 working days (1,120-hours)
One Cultural Resources Technician at JBLE - $16/hour – up to 120 working days (960-hours)
